HBCU MADE

With 20+ years of passion, know-how, and dedication to textured hair, Teneya has spent her career creating cult-favorite products for naturals and leading beloved brands in the textured hair space. As a licensed cosmetologist and award-winning executive, she launched Texture Crush in 2024 to champion inclusivity and self-expression with pro-backed formulas that fight frizz, hydrate, and strengthen curls, coils, and kinks.

Texture Crush is made for style shifters—offering something special for Curly Cuties, Silk Press Lovers, Blowout Beauties, and Protective Style Queens. Teneya’s vision and passion led to an Essence Best in Beauty Award for the brand’s Silk Me Out Frizz-Fighting Smoothing Serum solidifying her as an industry powerhouse.

This HBCU-made, self-funded mompreneur is crushing it!
